Tourism EXPO Japan 2018 means business

Tourism EXPO Japan 2018, the world’s largest tourism trade fair, means business, and it shows in the support the event is receiving. Supporters read like Japan’s Who’s Who of travel and tourism ministries and agencies.

Lending their support are the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT); Japan Tourism Agency; Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Japan Sports Agency; Agency for Cultural Affairs; Government of Japan; Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries; Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry; Ministry of the Environment; Tokyo Metropolitan Government; Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau; Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO); Japan Business Federation( Keidanren); The Japan Chamber of Commerce and Industry; and The Tokyo Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Tourism EXPO Japan’s focus on tourism and travel has brought to light the effects which tourism growth can have on regional economies, job creation, environment, and social wellbeing. Government agencies and the private sector are working together to further the leading role of Japan in global tourism by implementing strategies and measure that stimulate demand for overseas, domestic, and inbound travel.

A comprehensive travel trade event, Tourism EXPO Japan gathers key players from both the travel and tourism industry and travel-related business fields. Tourism EXPO Japan offers a fusion of opportunities, ranging from business meetings, insight sharing, discussions, media coverage, and direct business-to-business and business-to-customer promotion of overseas, domestic, and inbound tour products, facilities, and destinations.

In order to deliver ever better growth opportunities to the exhibitors, the EXPO team has worked to expand the number of new buyers, provide more time for business meetings, and extend the exhibition period.

The Tourism EXPO Japan Forum and Seminars highlight the extent of new contingencies for the tourism industry, made possible by the momentum created by the global tourism growth and the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Tourism EXPO Japan will be held from September 20-23, 2018 in Tokyo, Japan, at Tokyo Big Sight. September 20 and 21 are reserved for business discussions and industry professionals, and September 22 and 23 is open to the general public. The event is being organized by the Japan Travel and Tourism Association (JTTA), the Japan Association of Travel Agents (JATA), and the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO).
