Traveling to Spain for the FITUR Tourism Trade Fair is Minister Bartlett.

FITUR, scheduled for January 24–28, 2024, is regarded as Latin America’s top go trade show, drawing visitors from all over the world.
For hospitality professionals, especially those from Latin America and the Caribbean, “FITUR” marks the second significant session of the year. According to the commerce minister, it’s a place where people can connect, exchange ideas, and look into fresh opportunities in the fluid tourism industry.
Minister Bartlett’s program in Spain over the coming days will become jam-packed with important commitments. In a high-level meet with the CEO of Grupo Pinero, the owners of the Bahia Principe hotels and resorts, Mrs. Encarna Pinera, and top staff members Ms. Paqui Benitez and Jaimie Sitjar, he will serve as the delegation’s leader from Jamaica.
The FITUR beginning meeting, which will be presided over by Their Majesties King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain, will then be attended by Minister Bartlett. The Jamaica Tourism Minister may then take part in a meet-and-greet treatment for foreign commerce officials as well as an exclusive welcome for the ministry of tourism at the Fairgrounds.
Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary-General of the United Nations World Tourism Organization ( UNWTO ), and Sergio Dáz-Granada, Executive President of CAF- Development Bank of Latin America, are scheduled to host a welcome greeting for Mr. Bartlett as well.
Minister Bartlett emphasized FITUR’s importance and the numerous communication and investment opportunities it offers, adding:
” Jamaica anticipates over 3 million stay guests in 2024, and FITUR offers a priceless platform to demonstrate our offerings, fortify alliances,” and look into potential areas for long-term development.”
Minister Bartlett may meet with members from Canada’s Sunwing Vacations and European airline Edelweiss Air during his visit.
Minister Bartlett may also take part in a number of interactions with Spanish press, including an interview with ABC Natural, one of the top publications on sustainability and the environment, Cinco Dias, the country’s top economic paper, and RNE, another Spanish public radio station. Additionally, he will take part in a specific meeting with the well-known Spanish radio travel program Onda Cero-Gente Viajera.
The Minister did also speak with Hola Viajes in an exam about Destination Jamaica’s landscape, cuisine, culture, and way of life. The Inverotel Traditional Work Breakfast, which will mark the end of Minister Bartlett’s activities in southwest Europe, will also be attended. On Saturday, January 27, 2024, Mr. Bartlett is scheduled to visit the beach once more.
