Mauritius Tourism has continued its promotional activities at the 10th edition of Riyadh Travel Fair, from 10 –13 April, 2018 with the island’s Minister responsible for Tourism Anil Gayan personally heading the delegation to this tourism trade fair.
Riyadh Travel Fair (RTF) is considered to be a significant annual event where leading travel and tourism companies in Saudi Arabia and other international countries gather under one roof to present tourist products and services to the Arabs World. 270 exhibitors form 55 countries participated in RTF 2017 gathering a total number of 27,329 visitors, including 6,300 travel trade visitors, which represents a 6% increase in total number of visitors compered to RTF 2016. The number of visitors for RTF 2018 is expected to increase by 10%.
The Middle East and the GCC Countries remain an important tourism source market for both Mauritius and the Seychelles. This region now sits comfortably in the list of the key source markets for both the islands.
