Seychelles presence at Travel Open Village Evolution: Eco-friendly and sustainable tourism highlighted
The Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) office in Italy attended the 2019 edition of Travel Open Village Evolution in Milan, a 2-days event dedicated to business opportunities for the subjects involved in the travel industry.
The trade-dedicated event, organized by the Group Travel Quotidiano took place on February 10, 2019 and February 11, 2019 at Hotel Melià, Milan, Italy.

Attended by many travel agents and operators from all over the world, the event a rich program with B2B meetings and conferences.
The opportunity given to the STB team present at the Travel Open Village Evolution to showcase Seychelles as an outstanding ecotourism destination of the Indian Ocean Region.
STB was represented by Italy based Marketing Executive, Ms. Yasmine Pocetti who took the opportunity to bring attention to Seychelles efforts to promote eco-friendly and sustainable tourism.
Speaking about event, STB Director for Italy, Turkey, Greece and the Mediterranean, Ms. Monette Rose mentioned STB’s commitment to promote Seychelles as an eco-friendly destination.
“It is an honour for us as STB staff to show our destination as a pristine one. We are also conscious that while enticing people to come to Seychelles, we also have to tell them to respect our environment. In the sector we are at the forefront and also an example for the rest of the world,” said Ms. Rose.
The second edition of the Travel Open Village Evolution event, which was described as a success also offered training courses, social moments and thematic areas, all providing participants the chance to meet with their next business.
