Major new lifestyle retail mall under the same roof adds a new dimension to the event experience
QSNCC (The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center), the largest convention center in Bangkok’s Central Business District is scheduled to open this September, and this world-class facility is already a great success, attracting many major international events to the heart of downtown Bangkok. 13 million visitors from all over the world are expected in its first year.
Major events already scheduled include the APEC Summit 2022 (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) on 14 and 19 November when country leaders and delegates from all the 21 economies and beyond will be hosted at QSNCC, while Informa Markets, the world’s largest trade fair organiser, has already booked six major prestigious events. More than 130 international and national events are being confirmed at present.
Suitable for all types of international events from business to business to lifestyle including concerts, fashion shows, e-sports and arts & craft, QSNCC is already living up to its position as “the Ultimate Inspiring World Class Event Platform.”
With more than 300,000 square meters of total space, featuring cutting-edge technology and facilities with international standards, the QSNCC has been designed to offer flexible solutions for event planners. The seamless floor area with no pillars yields ample space and flexible logistical access. Organisers can benefit from two-floor loading zones and can host multiple events simultaneously.
A visit to an event at the QSNCC truly is an experience. That’s because there is much more under one roof. QSNCC brings life into the venue with a vast new retail mall “BALM” – Bangkok’s Active Lifestyle Mall’ – as well as spaces that make it a place for meetings, for gatherings and community hangouts. Visitors to events as well as local families and workers can choose from over 100 leading retail brands, restaurants and amenities.
QSNCC will be the first and only convention center in Bangkok to receive the “Leadership in Energy and Environment Design” (LEED) silver certification and includes large expanses of greenscape in the form of “Benjakitti Forest Park”; this is reflected in the design concepts of the Bangkok Active Lifestyle Mall.
Sutichai Bunditvorapoom, Executive Vice President-Marketing and Sales, N.C.C. Management and Development Co., Ltd. , the operator of QSNCC said: “Following the reopening of Thailand and now that international border restrictions have been lifted, the last quarter of 2022 will be an exciting time for QSNCC to start with this brand new venue. The response of major international event organisers in booking so many conferences and events before we open is tremendous and a wonderful testimonial to the venue.
“International visitors will not only enjoy exciting events in world class facilities, they will also experience superb shopping and lifestyle opportunities and a taste of Thai culture – all under one roof.”
