The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) Workshop will take place on January 22, 2024, at Exhibition World Bahrain. This venue, recognized as the World’s Leading New Exhibition and Convention Center 2023, will be hosting the event. Dr. Nasser Ali Qaedi, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA), will be in attendance.
The workshop’s objective is to facilitate successful collaborations in the MICE industry on both regional and international levels. It anticipates the participation of esteemed individuals from diverse countries across the globe. These attendees will comprise high-ranking executives and influencers representing exhibition and convention centers, professional associations, ICCA members, and other important organizations.
Held for the first time in the Kingdom of Bahrain, the ICCA workshop will comprise two panels tackling the themes “The Synergy of Diverse Perspectives: Strategies for Bahrain’s MICE Industry Advancement” and “Unlocking Bahrain’s MICE Potential: Navigating Trends and Strategies in the Association Market”.
Experts joining the two panels will be: HE Dr. Nasser Ali Qaedi, CEO of Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA); Dr. Debbie Kristiansen, the General Manager of Exhibition World Bahrain; Dr. Jeffrey Goh, CEO of Gulf Air Group; Mr. Jehad Amin, Chairman of the Hospitality and Tourism Committee at BCCI; Dr. Fatima Abdullah, President of the Bahrain Neuroscience Association; Anju Gomes, Regional Director ME of ICCA; Emre Kirazci, Director of Operations at Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa Sea and Spa; and Ms. Maryam Ebrahim, Manager of International Associations and Conventions at EWB.

Dr. Senthil Gopinath, CEO of the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), stated that they are delighted to organize a prominent workshop in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This workshop aims to facilitate the shift towards a more innovative international association and governmental meetings industry. The event is a direct outcome of the recently signed Association Relationship Partner (ARP) Agreement with their active member EWB, which aims to enhance their ties and enhance their reputation among the international association community.
