A crowd worthy of great occasions yesterday for the inauguration of TTG Travel Experience, SIA Hospitality Design and SUN Beach & Outdoor Style, the three Italian Exhibition Group expos dedicated to the Travel Industry, running until Friday 11th October at Rimini Expo Centre.
The edition that opened yesterday in Rimini is an edition with a strong international accent. As well as the 130 destination represented at the expo in “The World” area, there is also the busy schedule of appointments in the World Arena, an integral part of the Think Future program.
At the expo centre, buyers are awaited from 85 countries: approximately 65% from Europe and all the continents represented. The largest delegations are those from the United States, United Kingdom, Russia and Germany, but also China, which, after last year’s boom, is taking part with an even larger delegation. For the first time, there will be buyers from Chile, Peru, Kuwait and Qatar at TTG. The majority (82%) are interested in the leisure sector, 10% in MICE and approximately 8% in Exclusive Travel.
In collaboration with National Geographic, during the three exhibition days, eight emerging tourist destinations will be presented. Uzbekistan, Colombia, Georgia, Botswana, Costa Rica (partner country of TTG 2019), the Republic of North Macedonia, Japan, Kerala and Tamil Nadu, i.e. the other India.
There is also a focus on Costa Rica, partner country of this edition, a country that aims at becoming the first in the world with zero emissions within 2050, considered one of the world’s happiest countries, in which to enjoy postcard-style beaches, uncontaminated landscapes and tropical forests and on Turkey, at the centre of a meeting in the context of the special project that TTG Travel Experience is dedicating this year to active tourism, while Sri Lanka is presenting what it has to offer tourists to trade members and professionals tomorrow. At the expo, there is also a stand that for the first time is presenting Iran with qualified trade members united under the banner of their country, along with the government. An even larger hall is dedicated to the African Village, while Egypt is giving a preview presentation at TTG the opening in 2020 of the Grand Egyptian Museum.
