The 7th edition of the International Institute for Peace through Tourism ( IIPT ) Celebrating Her awards will be held on March 6 at ITB Berlin in Berlin.
The Hybrid Stage in Hall 5.3 a ITB will host the Honors from 14:15 to 15:30.
The Headline target will be delivered by Julia Simpson, President and CEO of WTTC.
For their accomplishments and contributions to using tourism as a tool for peace and harmony, three outstanding women from the field of hospitality will be honored.
The 2024 Celebrating Her recipients are:
For Inclusion and Diversity, Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President, Real Estate & Development and Asset Management at Indian Hotels Co. Ltd.
Marija Labovic, CEO and MD National Tourism Organization of Serbia, is responsible for Tourism Policy.
Adrianna Kruger is the founder of Tzaneen Country Lodge in Limpopo, South Africa, for Green Tourism.
Ajay Prakash, who took over as global president of IIPT in September 2023, said in a statement that” the Awards are being held a few days before the International Women’s Day, but our leaders need to be felicitated every day of the year, and each of our medal winners now is a hero.” Gender fairness, a crucial component of the UN SDGs, is fundamental to IIPT’s international goals and objectives and essential to developing peace. Through these honours, we hope to establish a network of influential women in the tourism industry who can collaborate with one another, act as role models and mentors, and act as IIPT’s world ambassadors of peace and sustainable growth.
