STB Regional Director for China, Jean-Luc Lai-Lam represented the destination at the event and he took the opportunity to tout the merits of Seychelles as one once-in-a-lifetime experience destination.
The aim of ANTOR Travel Carnival this year was to promote travel through challenges and experiences, targeting tourists who are looking for new energetic experiences.
The event saw the participation of nine different tourism boards including STB and 19 travel agencies, all offering the latest travel information, value travel packages and offers.
As part of Seychelles’ participation, the STB team presented a plethora of activities the destination offers in addition to promoting the various features of the Islands to potential visitors interested in vacationing in this exotic paradise of the Indian Ocean.
Speaking about STB’s participation to the Hong Kong event, STB Director for China mentioned that the destination’s appearance at Antor Travel Carnival was initiated in the aim of increasing awareness about Seychelles on the Hong Kong market.
“Seychelles is definitely an experience destination, visitors can choose between hiking on the numerous trails, diving and snorkeling in the rich underwater world, cycling around an island among other ways of keeping busy. As far as holidays are concerned, the destination offers many leisure activities. The carnival is a great platform to showcase the destination to potential visitors and increase the visibility of our islands which has been made possible through the partnership of the Tourism Association in Hong Kong,” said Lai-Lam.
In its booth of almost five square meters, STB met with potential clients, providing them with information about the destination as it was noted that many of those present had not even heard of Seychelles before.
The tourism board of the exotic islands collaborated with Etihad Airways and Wincastle Travels for packages during the three-day long event.
