Gen X of ATM Research Shows is driving GCC international traveling displays.

According to recent research, the GCC outbound market is expected to expand exponentially over the next five years, driven by Gen X travelers, according to Arabian Travel Market ( ATM), which will take place from May 6 to 9, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
According to research from New York-based Research Nester, Generation X, those individuals born between 1965 and 1980, are driving the substantial increase in inbound traveling from the GCC countries. The report cites many explanations for why this generation dominates the GCC’s export markets, especially in the markets of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.
Danielle Curtis, Exhibition Director at Arabian Travel Market, made the following remarks in response to the report:
Some Gen Xers hold top positions within firms and, as a result, frequently take business trips abroad between the ages of 43 and 58.
” Many people have high earning potential and expendable income because role also comes with prize.” At this point in their careers, many successful businesspeople have amassed sizable prosperity and can afford to travel regularly.
Given the demographics of the area, especially expatriate senior management, it makes perfect sense that Gen X may dominate the GCC outgoing market value, despite the fact that some industry commentators are concentrating on Gen Z and Millennial travelers.
Gen X members are also changing their habits; a sizable portion of them are now looking to achieve more green work-life balance. This frequently entails paying more leisure time with their families, taking vacations, and juggling work and leisure, which is significantly increasing the travel bleisure market.
According to the report, Gen X will be in charge of$ 11.1 billion, or 41 % of Saudi Arabia’s$ 27 billion global outbound market, by 2028. In the UAE, the situation is identical. By 2028, Gen X will spend$ 18.2 billion, or 60 % of the$ 30.5 billion market value.
It’s also important to keep in mind that as this generation ages and eventually retires, Teenagers will unavoidably take over the majority of the global market share in the coming century, added Curtis.
By 2028, Saudi tourists will spend$ 13.2 billion on their travels to Europe, up from just$ 7.4 billion in 2019. The UK, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, US, India, Australia, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Africa are additional popular travel destinations for GCC members.
Some foreign locations have undoubtedly noticed the tendency of growing outgoing GCC business.
” In 2023, we welcomed 76 national buildings with 1, 350 participating companies, totaling about 55 % of the show floor space.”
Curtis continued,” We have allocated more floor room to accommodate this growth this year with the transfer of regional pavilions from Spain and China, as well as a number of African locations.”
ATM is also planning a business insights conference that will cover India, China, and Latin America as well as the most recent millennial go trends in order to support the outgoing business even more.
The 31st version of ATM will once again network policymakers, business leaders, and travel professionals from across the Middle East and beyond, encouraging them to build new relationships, exchange knowledge, or recognize innovations that may alter the future of global travel and tourism in line with its theme,” Empowering Innovation: Transforming Travel Through Entrepreneurship.” The future show will demonstrate how innovators improve customer experiences, drive efficiencies, and hasten the industry’s transition to a net-zero prospect, from startups to well-known brands.
A new show record was broken in May 2023 when more than 40 000 go industry experts, including 30,000 visitors, attended ATM’s 30th model. More than 2,100 vendors and representatives from more than 155 nations attended the museum, giving a global platform for promoting ATM’s net-zero commitment.
Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism ( DET ), Emirates, Official Airline Partner, IHG Hotels & Official Hotel Partner; Al Rais Travel; OMC Partners; Rotana Hotels andamp, Resorts; and Registration Sponsor are among the strategic partners of ATM 2024, which is being held in collaboration with Dubai World Trade Center.
