First UNWTO Office for the Americas will be hosted by Brazil.

UNWTO has improved its support to its People in the Americas by moving forward with plans to create a specialized Regional Office for the place during an official visit to Brazil.
Member States decided to establish a Regional Office for the Americas in Rio de Janeiro during the 25th UNWTO General Assembly, which was held in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, from October 16 to October 20. By enhancing the existing Regional Office for the Middle East in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Nara, Japan, and the firm’s main office in Madrid, Spain, this new business will increase United Nations ‘ appearance on a global scale.
UNWTO and the Brazilian government organized a special meeting to mark the formal agreement for the Regional Office in accordance with the General Assembly’s suggested programs.
The project’s start is hailed as a major opportunity to improve Brazil as an important American hospitality superstar and top-tier international destination.
Enhancing the development of assets is the Americas Regional Office’s primary goal. The creation of guidelines to encourage natural investments and acknowledge the importance of diversity for American tourism will be one of the main deliverables. The Rio office may also develop a plan to give young people the chance to receive the technical training they need to develop the professional skills needed to support regional growth throughout the region.
During their recognized explore to Rio de Janeiro and Brasilia from December 13 to 17, the UNWTO group took part in celebrations honoring outstanding tourism officials and experts in Brazil. Deserving people and creative projects that are influencing the market were recognized at the National Tourism Awards meeting on December 16 in Brasilia. The UNWTO group also went to the official opening of the National Hall of Tourism.
Brazil will serve as the first UNWTO company in the Americas.
