The 72nd Annual St. Thomas Carnival Village in the US Virgin Islands has been announced in terms of the functionality line-up.
The Village does feature the likes of Patrice Roberts, Sizzla Kalonji, Kes, and Machel Montano, which will kick off the six-night free concerts set on April 29.
According to Joseph Boschulte, Commissioner of the USVI Department of Tourism, the St. Thomas Carnival this year has generated an unprecedented level of excitement, and the players at the Village Night Showcase show the continued impact and growth of the three festivities in our country.
Among the players who will take center stage to reflect the US Virgin Islands are Adam O, Rudy Live, Temisha, Karnage, Blind Earz, VIO International, and Spectrum Band.
A merging of sound that exemplifies the various musical preferences of Virgin Islands residents will be provided by VAYB, a kompa group from Haiti, and Chiquito Team Band, a dance symphony from the Dominican Republic. Also, the lineup includes Grandmasters, returning friends Edwin Yearwood and Krosfyah, as well as TeeJay, Jada Kingdom, and Kollision Band, who are performing in the area for the first time.
The Division of Festivals may host its second Kids Night Out Village Night this season, featuring performances from TMK and OTB as well as the Toddlers Derby and Best Dressed Doll.
